Tickets and Emails

I was recently installing the UCM system and running into problems with the ticket system.

I am under the impression that it should automatically import all emails from an account and place them into the ticket system. When I tried to connect my account and do the test it returns with:

Connecting to {hostserver:port/pop3/novalidate-cert}INBOX
Failed to connect when checking for support ticket emails.Can not authenticate to POP3 server: Authentication failed.

I do not see any options to make it validate, since my host, HostGator, says that the pop3 server requires authentication.

Am I missing something in the settings?
