I uploaded files into root of my hosting and while entering all required information, after I entered Item Purchased Code, system was checking for latest version.

within few minutes I have received this error message:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_internal_encoding() in /home/wslogin/public_html/init.php on line 123.

Please let me know what should I do?

Hello,

Please send this to the hosting provider:

“Hello, I am trying to use a PHP script and it is producing this error message:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_internal_encoding()
The developer asked me to check if it’s possible to enable the mbstring extension in PHP for this hosting account?
Is that something I can do through php.ini modifications?”

If they tell you it is possible then great, if they say it isn’t possible please let me know and we’ll work out another solution.

Kind Regards,
dtbaker

Anyone on their own linux server with yum (and apache!) can easily add mbstring

yum install php-mbstring
and restart apache 😉
