ive added the script to each site, and enabled the plugin – but when i click the link in the admin panel i just get redirected to the website, and the javascript never appears

in the javascript console i can see that it has logged an error 403 forbidden error

any ideas?

thanks, mike

Hi Mike,

Some hosting providers are blocking some features of this change request plugin (and generating that 403 forbidden error). Try this to fix it:

The website code you place on the clients website will look something like this:

<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="http://yourwebsite.com/.../public.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">
dtbaker_public_change_request.init("http://yourwebsite.com/...etc...");
</script>

Just before the “dtbaker_public_change_request.init” bit add this piece of code:

dtbaker_public_change_request.include_url=false;

So the resulting code may look something like this:

<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript" src="http://yourwebsite.com/.../public.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" language="javascript">
dtbaker_public_change_request.include_url=false;
dtbaker_public_change_request.init("http://yourwebsite.com/...etc...");
</script>

Feel free to post the “website code” here if you get stuck and I can post back the correct code to use.

That’s fixed it.

Happening on all my hostgator accounts.

Thanks for the fix!

Hi.

When i submit a request i am getting 5 lots of this error

Notice: Undefined index: user_id in /home/myname/public_html/clients/includes/plugin_change_request/change_request.php on line 492″

I have done a “manual upgrade” and still the same.

Hello,

The latest update should fix this error.

It looks like the Change Request system may be having difficulty emailing the staff. If you do not receive an email when a change request is submitted (and emails are working elsewhere in UCM) please let me know.

Thanks,
dtbaker

Thanks.

Update has gotten rid of the error, and emails are still working,

Mike
