New Big Feature: Custom Data Forms

Try the demo:

  1. Input some custom data here: https://ultimateclientmanager.com/demo/data.admin_data/?data_type_id=3 (click the Add New button up top right)
  2. Create your own custom data forms here: https://ultimateclientmanager.com/demo/config.config_admin/data.data_type_admin/

This new feature is pretty awesome. It allows you to build any type of data form and display it within UCM (without programming knowledge!).

Below are some screenshots to give you an idea of what is now possible:

Editing some data in a form that was built using the UCM Custom Data Forms feature:

Viewing the saved data (you can give “view only” permissions to staff members):

Even better, the system keeps a revision of every change made (and who did it) so you’ll never loose anything:

To get started with this great new feature please go to Settings > Upgrade within your UCM Pro installation, click the “Check for Updates” button and follow the steps.

I’ve included the above example in the update so you can get up and running quickly. To get the above example working go to Settings > Custom Data > Notes Example and change the “Menu Location” from “None” to “Main”. This will give you a new “Notes Example” item in the main menu, which you can click to start adding your own custom data.

The menu location can be “None” to hide this completely, “Main” to show it in the main listing, or “Customer” which will add a new submenu when viewing a customer record. Customer is pretty cool because each custom data listing will be automatically linked to that customer, and not show up for other customers.

As with all new UCM features, please get in touch on the Support Forum if you run into any issues or have any suggestions (and feel free to help eachother out too!)

If you find this big new feature useful please consider donating or purchasing another license to help with ongoing development, or just by giving UCM a 5 star rating on CodeCanyon.

This is version 1 of the Custom Data feature – there are lots more features and improvements planned.
